Wire rope joint test
An offshore fabrication company was tasked to carry out the joint integrity for their wire rope. After consultation, these was a better understanding of their exact requirement. A frame was designed for them to be able to coil the rope and provide enough tension via the hydraulic motor to carry out the test.
Design was also centred around safety in line with offshore requirement. Safety barriers and operating distances for operator were taken into consideration. A joystick control was provided at the request of the users due to their familiarity with such devices.
Design, installation and training was provided to complete this project.
